Senior Mechanical / HVAC Specialist

Role: Execute independently all engineering activities (EPCM services – Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) related to HVAC and black utilities systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities and draft all technical documentation for HVAC and black utilities systems projects;

• Preparation of P&IDs and black utilities system layouts;

• Calculation and dimensioning for ducts and piping networks;

• Bill of quantities and estimated material take off

• Technical reports and requests for quotes from external suppliers;

• Technical and economical evaluation and alignment of suppliers bids;

• Site inspections and field surveys.

• Coordination of other HVAC and black utilities specialists and drafters and / or external suppliers

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering background;

• Years of experience in technical design offices or engineering companies;

• Experience in industrial and pharmaceutical field and / or in other sectors;

• Valid driver’s license (Category B).

Knowledge:

• Technical knowledge of HVAC systems;

• Specific technical knowledge in hot water, chilled water, steam and condensate, compressed air, drainage system and other industrial and civil black utilities;

• General or specific know how In fire suppression systems is appreciated;

• Design and EPCM activities;

• General knowledge of HVAC and black utilities construction technologies;

• GEP (Good Engineering Practices);

• General knowledge of current Malta regulations and rules in HVAC and black utilities systems;

• Microsoft Office and Autodesk AutoCAD

• Autodesk REVIT knowledge is appreciated;

Skills:

• Interpersonal skills with clients and other company technical functions;

• Problem-solving skills.

Languages:

• Fluent English (C1/C2);

• Fluent Italian is appreciated;

• Other languages are a plus.
