Senior PV Installer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior PV Installer to lead the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in solar installations, be capable of supervising teams on site, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise PV installation teams on site
- Install solar panels, mounting structures, inverters, batteries, and associated equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and installation plans
- Ensure installations comply with local electrical and safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and clients
- Perform site assessments and identify any installation challenges
- Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are available before work begins
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PV systems
- Maintain high health and safety standards on site
- Train and support junior installers and apprentices
- Complete installation reports and documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in PV system installation
- Proven experience leading installation teams
- Good understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and monitoring systems
- Ability to read technical plans and electrical diagrams
- Experience working at heights and using lifting equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driving licence
- Electrical installation knowledge is considered an asset
- Relevant health and safety certifications are preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or training in solar PV installation
- Experience with residential and commercial PV systems
- Familiarity with brands such as Sungrow and Huawei
- First aid and working at heights certification
