Senior Technician / Foreman (Electrical & Renewable Systems)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to serve as Foreman/Supervisor within our technical team. The ideal candidate will oversee installations, coordinate site activities, and ensure high-quality workmanship across projects. Experience in solar (PV) systems and renewable energy solutions will be considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead installation teams on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely
Plan daily work schedules and allocate resources effectively
Oversee installation of electrical and mechanical systems, including PV systems, inverters, and related equipment
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with technical drawings, standards, and company procedures
Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and apprentices
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients when required
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in troubleshooting, fault finding, and resolving technical issues on-site
Maintain proper documentation, including job reports and installation records
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior technician or supervisory/foreman role
Strong electrical and/or mechanical background
Experience in solar PV systems, inverters, or renewable energy solutions is an asset
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Familiarity with health and safety standards and procedures
Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
Valid driving license
Preferred Qualifications
Electrical license or relevant technical certification
Experience with commercial and industrial installations
Knowledge of monitoring systems and commissioning processes
Experience working with three-phase systems
